Jung-Hwan Park and his colleagues have performed research on transdermal drug delivery using materials and micro-physical systems including microneedles, microheaters, and microfluidic devices to deliver small molecules, proteins, peptides and nano-particles. A main research area includes the use of microneedle systems for dermal administration of various drugs to the skin by minimally invasive manner. By co-operation with Gachon Medical University and Korean pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies, we are developing microneedle systems from microneedle fabrication to preclinical test of microneedles. Also we have authorized microneedles produced from companies.
